TrafficStars retains the right to approve or reject any campaign or account at the company’s sole discretion. Campaigns are reviewed on a continuous basis by our Compliance team and may be rejected or stopped without prior notice and at any time.

All advertising campaigns (banners and landing pages) must follow the general guidelines listed below.

On ads and landing pages it is prohibited to sell or promote items or services such as:

  • alcohol and related paraphernalia
  • drugs and related paraphernalia
  • weapons and ammunition (e.g., firearms, fighting knives, stun guns, etc...)
  • IT/PC technical support programs
  • any content that is illegal under Cypriot law or the law of the country where the promotion may be displayed
  • content that infringes on copyright or trademark laws

Promotion or display of extreme violence or shocking content on ads or landing pages is strictly prohibited which includes but not limited to:

  • scatophilia, urination, bestiality
  • violent language, gruesome or disgusting imagery, or graphic images or accounts of physical trauma: abuse, incest, rape, torture
  • portrayals of bodily fluids or waste such as blood, urine, guts, gore, human or animal waste
  • any visual or written representation of a real or imaginary person that appears or is under the age of 18 years engaging in any type of sex-related activity (all content must be 18 U.S.C. 2257 compliant)
  • any content that infringes on obscenity laws and the criminal code

Content enabling dishonest behaviour:

  • programs which compensate users for clicking on ads or offers, performing searches, surfing websites or reading emails (e.g. Paid To Click/Paid to Read, etc.)
  • promotion or use of any tools that artificially generate impressions or clicks (including auto-refreshing of ads)
  • hacking/cracking content

Low quality content which includes websites that have:

  • any form of imitation of our network of publisher sites (e.g.
  • limited or no added value to users
  • under construction notifications or are clearly incomplete (e.g. filled with "Lorem Ipsum" text)
  • parked domain structure (e.g. domain exists but no content added)
  • error pages of any kind including "offer not found", "forbidden", "404", etc 

Disruptive content which includes banners or/and websites that have:

  • too many ads causing bad/frustrating user experience - arbitrage
  • links or automatic downloads of software that is malicious or unwanted - Malware/Adware/Bloatware/Ransomware
  • suggestions that the user or user's device is infected or is in danger, this includes any form of fake virus alerts, scareware, "warning" signs, etc
  • phishing/misrepresentation (e.g. a page that appears to represent a company other that that of the advertiser or offer provider)
  • backjacking and auto-redirection (forcing the visitor away from the publisher site)
